Causes- The condition results from inflammation and tightening of the capsule around the shoulder joint. Risk factors include medical conditions like diabetes, thyroid disorders, immobility due to injury or surgery, age (more common in the elderly), and gender (women are at higher risk). Treatment Options- Treatment may involve physiotherapy to restore motion, pain relief medications, and in some cases, corticosteroid injections.
